Texas Board of Legal Specialization

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization® is a governing body in the state of Texas that was authorized by the Supreme Court of Texas to certify licensed attorneys in certain specific areas of law practice. An attorney who is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization® must be considered highly adept in their field of certification. Houston DWI attorney Tad Nelson is Board Certified® by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization® in criminal law.

American Chemical Society

The American Chemical Society is a scientific society based in the United States of America. Tad Nelson’s affiliation with the American Chemical Society comes by way of his ACS/CHAL Lawyer-Scientist status earned passing the American Chemical Society’s forensic chromatography course.

American Trial Lawyers Association

The American Trial Lawyers Association, now using the name American Association for Justice, is a program intended to train & educate trial lawyers in advanced communication skills, to provide a national network to assist attorneys who are defending clients, and to promote a fair and just criminal justice system. Attorney Tad Nelson is a member.

National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is dedicated to ensuring justice in due process for persons accused of criminal offenses. They foster the integrity, independence, and expertise of the criminal defense profession held dear by attorneys here and abroad. The main goal of the National Association Of Criminal Defense Lawyers is to promote the proper and fair administration of criminal justice.

Texas State Bar Association

The main mission of the Texas State Bar Association, also referred to as the State Bar of Texas, is to serve its members, the public, and to support the administration of the legal system. Another of its goals is the assurance that all citizens are allowed equal access to justice in addition to positively impacting public awareness about the rule of law and the justice system.

Texas Trial Lawyers Association

The Texas Trial Lawyers Association is a member founded and maintained organization that is mainly comprised of plaintiff/trial attorneys who meet the stringent membership criteria of the TTLA. The TTLA is one of the only organizations that stands up for the rights of trial lawyers and the plaintiff’s they are tasked with representing. Houston lawyer Tad Nelson is a member.

Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association

Founded in 1971, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association is an organization of more than 2800 members which includes private lawyers, public defenders, and other legal professionals operating within the scope of criminal Justice law in the state of Texas.

Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association

The Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association is a nonprofit corporation chartered by the state of Texas. Their goal is the promotion of the efficient administration of justice, and to seek improvement in criminal law. The Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association maintains a close relationship with the State Bar of Texas, Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the National Association Of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Harris County Bar Association

The Harris County Bar Association is a certified lawyer referral service that performs the valuable task of connecting attorneys with the people and businesses that need them most. There instrumental with connecting people with bankruptcy lawyers, criminal defense lawyers, employment lawyers, family law attorneys, personal injury lawyers, federal tax lawyers, and patent lawyers in the Houston area.

State Bar College

The State Bar College is a prestigious honorary society of lawyers who are among the best qualified and best trained attorneys who are currently practicing law in the state of Texas. The main purpose of the college is to recognize lawyers who maintain and enhance their professional skills and the quality of their legal services.

National College for DUI Defense

The National College of DUI Defense is an organization focused on improving the criminal defense bar of attorneys who handle DWI & DUI cases on behalf of their defendants; the accused. All of the attorneys who are currently accepting cases at the Law Offices of Tad Nelson and Associates are decorated graduates of the National College Of DUI Defense.
